How do I manage tabs and tab groups?
Open the tab overview to switch or close pages and browse tab groups. Use the group controls to create groups. Long-press a page or link to see the actions available for that item.
Link to this questionHow do I reopen my pages after restarting?
Enable Open Last Web Pages at Startup in Settings → Browse Settings. To restore private tabs too, enable Keep Incognito Tabs. That saves tab addresses and previews on this device, but not private cookies or sign-in sessions.

How do I install Chrome extensions in Teak on iPhone or iPad?
In Teak, open Settings → Extensions or enter chrome://extensions in the address bar. Use the built-in search, Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons to find compatible extensions. Review permissions before installing, then open the extension from the browser's extensions menu.
Link to this questionHow do I update, disable or remove an extension?
Open the extension manager to enable, disable, remove or view details. Check for updates manually. If an update requests more permissions, review and confirm them before proceeding.
Link to this questionWhy does an installed extension not work on a page?
Check that it is enabled and has access to the website, then reload the page. Check for updates and compare with the compatibility guide. Desktop-only features and some iOS restrictions can affect support. Report the extension name, version and affected URL if the issue continues.
Link to this questionAds and content blocking
How do I block ads or hide a page element?
Open Settings → Ad Block to choose blocking rules, add custom rules or manage exceptions. To hide a specific element, use Flagging Ads in Page from the page menu. Manage saved selections under Flagged Ads. Reload the page after changing rules.
Link to this questionWhat if a site breaks after blocking content?
Add the site to the ad-blocking exceptions or remove the relevant flagged element. If needed, temporarily disable a blocking extension, reduce tracking protection or turn off webpage dark mode, one change at a time, and reload to identify the cause.
Link to this questionReading and translation
How do I use reader mode and dark mode?
Choose Reading mode from the page menu when an article is detected, then adjust its font, size, theme and brightness. It may be unavailable on pages without extractable article text. App appearance and webpage dark mode can be adjusted separately; Website Settings provides a per-site dark-mode choice.
Link to this questionHow do I translate a page, or fix a failed translation?
Choose Translation from the page menu and select the target language. Change the translation service in Settings → Translation, then relaunch Teak for that change to take effect. Check network access; Google Translate may be unavailable in some regions.
Link to this questionWhere are read aloud, page zoom, find and auto-scroll?
Read Aloud, Page Zoom and Find in page are page-menu tools. The read-aloud toolbar lets you choose a voice and control playback. Configure auto-scroll as a shortcut in the personalized settings. Settings → Browse Settings also provides a default page zoom.
Link to this questionBookmarks and iCloud
How do I save, organise, import or export bookmarks?
Use Add to bookmark from the page menu. Open Bookmarks to edit items and folders; long-press a bookmark for more actions, including pinning it to Home. The More menu offers HTML import and export for moving bookmarks between browsers.
Link to this questionHow do I use iCloud sync?
In Settings → iCloud Sync, enable the categories you need, such as bookmarks, Home sites, custom blocking rules and wallpaper. Autofill has a separate iCloud switch. Use the same iCloud account on both devices and check Teak's iCloud access if changes do not appear; try Sync Now.
Link to this questionDownloads and media
Where are my downloads, and how do I export them?
Open Downloads from the browser menu to view files and task status. Use a file's Share or Show in Files action to export or locate it. For interrupted tasks, use the available resume action; expired links may require starting again from the website.
Link to this questionHow do M3U8 merging and background downloads work?
Settings → Downloads has Merge M3U8 files. When off, new downloads save the playlist only; when on, Teak downloads segments and merges them. Background progress for eligible tasks requires iOS 26 or later. Stopping the system task pauses the download; completion notifications require permission.
Link to this questionHow do I find media, use picture in picture or background playback?
Open Web Resource Sniffer from the page menu to inspect detected images, video and audio. Video controls and configured shortcuts provide playback tools where available. Some sites, protected media or system restrictions can prevent discovery, downloading, picture in picture or background playback.
Link to this questionOffline pages and books
How do I save a webpage offline or as a PDF?
Choose Save Current Page Offline or Create PDF from the page menu. Find saved pages under Archives. An offline copy may not preserve sign-in, interactive content or streaming media; open it after saving to check that the content you need is present.
Link to this questionHow do I import and read EPUB or TXT books?
Open Books from the browser menu, then import from Files or Downloads. In the reader, use More for contents and reading options, and select text for annotation actions. Damaged or protected EPUB files may not open.
Link to this questionPrivacy and security
What does incognito mode keep?
Incognito browsing does not save normal browsing history or persist its website cookies and sessions. Keep Incognito Tabs can retain addresses and page previews. Settings → Downloads separately controls private download history. Saved files and bookmarks remain until you remove them; incognito does not make you anonymous to websites.
Link to this questionHow do I clear data, adjust tracking protection or lock Teak?
Settings → Storage provides image-cache and website-data management. Removing a site's data can sign you out. Settings → Tracking Prevention adjusts protection; reload pages after changes. Settings → Security provides browser-lock options using your device's authentication.
Link to this questionHow do I manage passwords and autofill?
Open Settings → Autofill to manage saved passwords, payment methods and personal information, and enable the filling options you want. Autofill's iCloud sync is separate. On iOS 26.2 or later, system password-manager sync can send new or updated Teak passwords; system changes do not sync back.
Link to this questionAppearance and gestures
How do I customize the toolbar and gestures?
Open Settings → Personalized Settings for address-bar position, toolbar pinning on iPhone, bottom swipes, the swipe-up action and long-press shortcuts. Available controls differ between iPhone and iPad. Use the Home page menu to change its background and edit shortcuts.
Link to this questionWhat is different on iPad and with a keyboard?
On iPad, use the tab bar, sidebar and toolbar extension popups for browsing and management. External-keyboard actions are available for common browser commands; hold the Command key to see the shortcuts currently offered by the app.

How do I request a desktop site or change the User-Agent?
Use Request Desktop Site from the page menu, or enable it for the current site in Website Settings. Settings → Browse Settings → Browser User Agent provides broader choices. Reload after changes; identifying as a desktop browser does not add desktop-only capabilities.
Link to this questionHow do I control site permissions and links opening other apps?
Website Settings manages camera, microphone and external-app access for the current site. Settings → Open Links in Associated Apps controls automatic app jumps more broadly. If camera, microphone or location still fails, check Teak's corresponding permissions in the system settings.
Link to this questionTeak Pro and troubleshooting
Which features require Teak Pro?
Open Settings → Teak Pro for the current benefits and plans. Pro includes unlimited extensions and advanced tools such as translation, resource discovery, custom blocking rules and inspection. Follow the entitlement message shown by the feature; prices and offers are displayed before purchase.
Link to this questionHow do I restore a purchase or cancel a subscription?
Use Restore purchases on the Teak Pro screen with the Apple Account used to buy Teak. Previous paid-app buyers can restore permanent Pro access. Manage or cancel subscriptions in system Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription.
Link to this questionHow do I report loading, login, playback or performance problems?
Check the connection and affected URL, reload, then temporarily disable relevant extensions or page modifications one at a time. For login issues, check tracking protection before clearing site data. Use Settings → Feedback, or email support with versions, reproduction steps and a screenshot.
